Welcome to “It seems to me . . .” The name comes from some introspective writing that I do to help me focus on issues that I deal with in my personal journey through life. Nothing revolutionary or earthshaking–just chasing a thought here and there. Please understand that I do not take myself too seriously. No reason for you to do so either.
I am not a fan of the social media, but you might have discovered that I do use it–you might even have arrived here by link from one of my social media outlets. I get comments now and then that some of my posts are too long. You have options: read the whole thing; don’t read any of it; skim it; read part of it and come back later; and more. Please don’t consider this harsh or unfeeling. The media is full of micro-bites of information and dis-information. If that’s your thing, great. If you are looking for a bit more depth, maybe something here will point you in a direction where you can find what you are looking for. Take what is useful and ignore the rest. I am not trying to stir the pot, but I have found myself in a tiger’s embrace more than once.
This site is eclectic rather than planned. Browse and see if anything interests you.

Yes, I’m old enough to have taken hundreds of photos with real film–in the day
Perfection is not one of my strengths. I try to support the views I express, but questions may arise. I seriously welcome your considered feedback. As I mentioned above, this is my first (and last) time through this life and I am subject to error. Good intentions do not excuse ongoing error, so, again, your help is welcome.
I recently read a preface to an old book that I really liked. Maybe some day someone can say this about me: “He is judicial rather than just a partisan spirit, loyal to the truth, yet liberal toward honest doubt and sincere search–the more tolerant because the more truthful” “” (Prof. Ransom Welch’s preface to “The Bible Verified” by Rev. Andrew Archibald, 1890).
Just a disclaimer–this website is wholly independent. It is not supported or endorsed by any organization, including religious institutions, political groups, or businesses. You should experience no popups or attempts to sell or promote any of these. The only businesses referenced belong to my sons, and that is just the proud father in me speaking. Any links to this site (other than those originated by myself) are voluntary and should not contain any popups or attempts to sell or promote any organization or product. Thanks, Bob.
